The Epic Year of Awesome

In 2007 Devo Spice was part of the group that launched The FuMP and originally committed to releasing one song a month.  This lead to a constant stream of songs that became hits on The Dr. Demento Show.

It started with "Cellular Degeneration" which first hit #1 on the Funny Five in March and ended up being the #1 most requested song of the year.  Then "Pillagers" hit #1 on the Funny Five in June and ended up the #4 most requested song of the year.  "Getting Old Sucks" hit #1 on the Funny Five in September and ended up the #2 most requested song of the year.  Finally "Blood Guts and Boobs" hit #2 on the Funny Five in November. 

By the end of 2007 Sudden Death commanded 4 of the top 5 spaces on the year end countdown, which includes Devo Spice's guest vocal appearance on Seamonkey's song "Anorexiac" which ended the year at #5.
